I
haven't been taking as many photos onboard lately, I kind of feel like
I've run out of things to photograph. That's not really true, but
my last couple of days onboard I've been really busy and just run out of
time at the end of the day. I was onboard again on November 30th,
traffic on the trip up and back was horrible, Thanksgiving weekend is
not the time to drive the Route 95 corridor! I did however have
a very productive day onboard and managed to roam around and take
a few photos at the end of the day. We're still working down on
Broadway, but it's now very close to being finished. It looks
like the ships Machine Shops and parts of the Galley on Deck 2 will be
the next areas opened to the public for tours. I recently took
photos of volunteers getting those areas ready, today I visited those
spaces again and in a word they look Marvelous! Below are a number
of photos of the Machine Shop spaces and a few of the ships newly
restored Post Office. In closing I'd once again like to encourage those that live
close enough to come down and get involved with the restoration of this
magnificent ship, we need all the volunteers we can get! Hope you enjoy the photos,
take care and Happy Holidays to all!
